Transit Guide
Annaba Rabah Bitat Airport, also known as Les Salines, is about ten to eleven kilometres from the hotel, around twenty minutes by taxi depending on traffic. It has domestic flights to Algiers and international connections, mainly to France.
The port of Annaba receives ferries from Marseille, a convenient option for travellers bringing their own car from Europe. Ferry schedules vary by season, and summer sailings are often fully booked.
The railway station in the centre connects Annaba with Constantine and Algiers by train. The journey to Algiers is long, and many travellers prefer flying.
Within the city, taxis are inexpensive and widely available. Shared taxis follow fixed routes. Agreeing on the fare before departure is advisable.
The road to Seraïdi starts near the hotel and climbs through the forest. El Kala National Park, near the Tunisian border, is about two hours east by road.
Police checkpoints are common on Algerian roads. Keeping passports and vehicle documents ready speeds up controls.
